PRINCE CHARLIE AND MRS ROBERTS

Got my wheels back and so far so good. 40 miles and not a loose spoke.Training has been difficult last few days due to weather and my war wounds playing up( 2 knees and a hip!!!) Looking for a diy surgeon who could do a kitchen top hip replacement any evening next week.Fell of my bike tonight on the infamous Llangower Bridge( pont wan*) but got patched up by a passing scarlet o'hara as you can see.

The whisky sponsor called by the house with a bottle of Prince Charlie to help with the pain. I'm going to save it for Johno'groats.
Got a lovely letter from a Mrs Roberts and a cheque for £10. No address to reply back to so "Thank you very much Mrs Roberts" wherever you are.(Its my intention to write a thank you to all individual sponsors whatever the amount)
Following various e mails and phonecalls and chats with LEJOG "veterans" I have decided on a few action plans
1. To beg steal or borrow a complete spare bike ( this will allow me a backup bike and allow any of my backup team to keep me company for a few miles a day.

2To try the A30 and as a rule stick to A roads as much as possible.

3Get my weight down to 141/2 stone( need to lose about 1 stone HELP !!!!! )

Got in touch with a company that specialise in vehicle tracking devices and there is a possibility of setting up a system so that Brian can track me daily on a laptop and local schools etc can keep track( help their geography!!)

Mr Morgan - Next time you go over that tricky hairpin on the much feared Llangower bridge too far, keep your eyes off those sexy multi coloured wheely bins in the layby, they've caused many a nasty turn to those hard breeds - the bikers.
